Job summary

Heritage Senior Living is seeking compassionate CNAs and Resident Assistants to join our team in West Allis, WI. You will provide personalized care to residents, helping them maintain independence, dignity, comfort, and quality of life.

CNA certification is desirable but not required. We offer competitive wages, shift differentials, medical/dental/vision insurance, and opportunities for growth in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• CNA certification desirable but not required.
• Experience in caregiving, assisted living, memory care, or senior living is a plus.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, dining, and activities of daily living.
• Provide care according to each resident's ISP.
• Assist residents with mobility and transfers using equipment and safe practices.
• Complete wellness checks and respond promptly to resident calls and alarms.
• Observe residents for changes in condition and report concerns.
• Document resident care and services.
• Assist with medications when trained and delegated.
• Follow resident-rights, infection control, and safety requirements.
• Participate in meetings and training.
• Maintain a safe, homelike environment and build relationships with residents, families, and coworkers.

What You'll Do

As a CNA/Resident Assistant, you'll get to know our residents and provide individualized support based on their needs and preferences.

• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, dining, and other activities of daily living
• Provide care according to each resident's Individual Service Plan (ISP)
• Assist residents with mobility and transfers using appropriate equipment and safe practices
• Complete wellness checks and respond promptly to resident calls and alarms
• Observe residents for changes in condition or behavior and promptly report concerns
• Accurately document resident care and services
• Assist with medications when appropriately trained and delegated
• Follow resident-rights, infection prevention, and safety requirements
• Participate in required meetings and training
• Help maintain a safe, comfortable, and homelike environment
• Build positive relationships with residents, families, and coworkers

What We're Looking For

We're looking for people who are compassionate, dependable, and genuinely enjoy helping others.

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• CNA certification desirable, but not required
• Previous caregiving, assisted living, memory care, or senior living experience is a plus
• Strong communication and customer-service skills
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• Willingness to complete required CBRF certifications and training
• Ability to safely use applicable resident transfer and mobility equipment

Schedule

Our residents depend on us 24/7, so opportunities may be available across day, evening, and night shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Shift differentials may be available for eligible shifts.
