Job summary

Primrose Retirement Communities is hiring a Resident Assistant to provide basic care and assist residents with daily living activities in a long-term care or assisted living setting. Excellent people skills, compassion, and teamwork are essential as you support residents’ physical, mental, and psycho-social well-being.

Qualifications

• Experience in a long-term care or assisted living environment is preferred.
• Current certification as a Nursing Assistant or State Trained Nursing Assistant dependent upon state regulations
• Maintain CPR/First Aid certification per state regulations.
• Knowledge of Alzheimer’s Disease, other dementias and related memory impairments is preferred.
• Demonstrates ability to work as a team.
• Able to work weekends and holidays on a rotating basis.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic care to residents and assist with daily living activities including personal hygiene, dressing, housekeeping, laundry, meal services and social-recreational activities.
• Collaborate with the nursing department, other departments, medical professionals, residents and families to support resident well-being.
• Support residents to attain or maintain the highest practical physical, mental, and psycho-social well-being.
