American University in Washington, DC is seeking a Resident Assistant (RA) who is a current enrolled student for a part-time, on-campus role. The RA will support community engagement, emergency response, and administrative duties within Housing & Residence Life, earning a monthly stipend and gaining practical experience in student services.

This role requires undergraduate or graduate enrollment, a 12–17 credit load (undergrad) or 9–12 credits (grad), and a commitment to duties including on-call

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead and coordinate activities within a residence hall.
• Adaptability and reliability in a student staff role.

Responsabilités

• Develop and facilitate an engaging environment for residents to grow academically and socially.
• Plan learning and engagement opportunities per the Eagle Flight Plan.
• Advise residents and refer to campus resources for support.
• Complete Health and Safety Inspections at least twice a year.
• Attend weekly staff meetings and participate in ongoing training and development.
