Job summary

Arbor Hills is seeking a Caregiver to join our Resident Services Department. This full-time role offers shifts from 2PM-10PM and 10PM-6AM with a CNA certification program paid by the employer. Earn between $16 and $17 per hour, depending on experience, with full medical benefits for full-time staff.

You will assist residents with daily living activities, provide compassionate personal care, and help maintain a safe, respectful environment in our memory care community.

Qualifications

• Must be drug-free and submit to drug screening upon hire.
• Must be able to gain CPR/First-Aid certification as needed.
• Must pass a criminal background check upon hire and per state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, transferring and mobility.
• Engage residents in socialization and activities while providing personal care.
• Respond promptly to care needs and obtain assistance as necessary.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and uphold resident rights.
• Monitor changes in conditions and report to a licensed nurse.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Who you are:

You pride yourself in providing exceptional hospitality and personal assistance. This role delivers in a safe and efficient manner the highest quality individualized assistance program to all residents.

What you'll do:

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, transferring, and mobility
• Engage residents in meaningful conversation, socialization, and activity while providing personal care assistance
• Responds to all resident needs and/or requests for care promptly, and provides or obtains assistance with care as necessary
• Keep the environment safe and clean for residents
• Observe and uphold resident rights at all times
• Observe residents for changes in physical, emotional, mental, or behavioral condition, unusual symptoms, accidents, injuries, or unusual occurrences, and report promptly to a licensed nurse
• Perform other duties as assigned
