The Aspenwood Company is seeking compassionate Resident Assistants to provide dignified, homelike care for seniors at Doliver of Tanglewood. You will support daily living activities, assist with meals, and help residents stay engaged in a warm, respectful environment. Weekend and holiday availability is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills, good judgment, and attention to detail.
• Understanding of HIPAA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring, dining) while encouraging independence.
• Serve meals and assist with meal preparation and nutrition.
• Initiate and participate in leisure activities to promote socialization and friendships.
• Maintain accurate records of leisure activities, incidents, and changes in residents' conditions.
• Ensure a clean, safe environment and follow emergencies procedures; respond to requests promptly.

$250 Sign on Bonus!

• $125 after 30 days of employment
• $125 after 60 days of employment

Location: Doliver of Tanglewood, an Independent and Assisted Living senior community with Memory Care

Full Time

Must be available to work weekends and holidays

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring, and dining, while encouraging as much independence as possible.
• Serve meals in the dining room or residents' apartments, assist in meal preparation, and encourage proper nutrition and hydration.
• Initiate and participate in leisure activities, encouraging residents to socialize and build friendships.
• Maintain accurate and timely records, documenting leisure activities, incidents, observations, and any changes in residents' conditions.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and orderly environment for residents, performing general housekeeping duties.
• Follow proper procedures in emergencies and respond quickly to resident requests, including emergency call pendants and telephone calls.
• Know each resident's location, remind them to sign out when leaving, and promptly report if a resident cannot be located.
• Foster a cooperative team environment through positive interactions with co-workers.
• Attend all required in-service training sessions.
• Be an active member of the community's emergency response team.
• Maintain a professional appearance and good personal hygiene in accordance with company policies.

Minimum Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 6 months to 1 year of prior resident care experience, preferably with seniors.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills, good judgment, and attention to detail.
• Understanding of HIPAA requirements.
