Job summary

Legacy Senior Living in Madison, WI, is seeking a dedicated Resident Assistant/Caregiver to deliver personalized care and support for residents in a compassionate team environment.

You will assist with activities of daily living, maintain dignity, and contribute to residents’ overall well-being, while following care plans and safety policies. Previous senior care experience is helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• Experience in care for older adults is preferred but not required.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Willing to learn and follow care plans, safety policies, and training protocols.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and emotional support according to each resident’s care plan.
• Support residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and medication reminders.
• Respond promptly to resident needs and calls—day or night.
• Build relationships with residents and families based on trust and compassion.
• Escort residents to meals and activities, and encourage social engagement.
• Observe and report changes in physical, emotional, or mental condition to wellness leadership.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with care policies.
• Assist with dining service, light housekeeping, laundry, and other daily comforts.
• Uphold resident rights, dignity, independence, and safety at all times.

Who You Are

• A compassionate and dependable caregiver who finds purpose in serving others
• Experience in senior living, home health, or caregiving is a plus—but not required
• Comfortable working in a team environment and communicating clearly
