Job summary

Legacy Senior Living is seeking a CNA/Resident Assistant to provide compassionate care and support to our senior residents. You will help with daily activities, personal care, and medication reminders, while upholding dignity and independence.

Join a team that values trust, respect, and a person-centered approach. Prior experience is a plus, English proficiency is required, and a 2nd shift is available. This is a full-time, on-site role in Alabama.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and emotional support per each resident's care plan
• Assist residents with daily activities and medication reminders
• Respond promptly to resident needs day or night
• Build relationships with residents and families based on trust
• Escort residents to meals and activities and encourage social engagement
• Observe and report changes in residents' condition to leadership
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with policies
• Assist with dining service, light housekeeping, laundry, and daily comforts
• Uphold resident rights, independence, and safety

What You’ll Do

• Provide personal care and emotional support in accordance with each resident’s individual care plan
• Support residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and medication reminders
• Respond promptly to resident needs and calls—day or night
• Build relationships with residents and families based on trust and compassion
• Escort residents to meals and activities, and encourage social engagement
• Observe and report any changes in physical, emotional, or mental condition to wellness leadership
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with resident care policies
• Assist with dining service, light housekeeping, laundry, and other daily comforts
• Uphold resident rights, dignity, independence, and safety at all times

Who You Are

• A compassionate and dependable caregiver who finds purpose in serving others
• Experience in senior living, home health, or caregiving is a plus—but not required
• Comfortable working in a team environment and communicating clearly
• Willing to learn and follow care plans, safety policies, and training protocols
• Able to lift, bend, and assist residents as needed, using proper body mechanics
• Must pass background checks and applicable state screenings
