Job summary

Meadows on Fairview Assisted Living in Wyoming, MN, is seeking a Resident Assistant to provide personal care and health-related services to enhance residents’ wellbeing. Our community offers a full continuum of care and a supportive team environment within Ebenezer’s Wyoming footprint.

The schedule includes 31 hours every two weeks with an overnight shift (10PM–6:15AM), and every other weekend and holiday rotation, providing opportunities to engage residents in activities and support daily

Qualifications

• Less than 1 year of experience required.
• Ability to use technology in the form of computers, handheld devices, cell phones, and fax machines.
• If under 18 must be on MN NAR registry.

Responsibilities

• Assists residents with personal cares, including bathing, foot and fingernail care, and facilitating social and recreational activities as assigned.
• Assists with meal service in dining room.
• Observes residents and reports status to appropriate staff.
• Notifies staff of changes in physical and/or emotional conditions.
• Serves as a mandated reporter and reports concerns regarding potential mistreatment.
• Offers pertinent observations and input.
• Responds to resident and building emergencies.

Job Overview

We are looking for a Resident Assistant to join our team at Meadows on Fairview Assisted Living in Wyoming, MN! This position is responsible for providing personal care and designated health-related services to enhance and/or maintain the residents' physical and emotional wellbeing.

Meadows on Fairview Senior Living, is Ebenezer’s 51 Unit Assisted Living and Transitional Care Community located in Wyoming, MN near Highway 35, County Roads 8, and 61. Conveniently across the street from Fairview Lakes Hospital and Dialysis center offering a full continuum of care for our residents. Our community is small enough to get to know your residents and co-workers yet large enough to provide you with opportunities and room to grow. Schedule

This schedule includes:

• 31 hours every two weeks

Week 1: Saturday and Sunday

Week 2: Thursday and Friday

Responsibilities

• Assists residents with personal cares, including but not limited to bathing/showering, foot and fingernail care, and preparing for and/or facilitating resident social and recreational activities as assigned.
• Assists with meal service in dining room.
• Observes tenants/residents and reports status to appropriate staff.
• Notifies appropriate staff of changes in physical and/or emotional conditions such as changes in attitude or mood, loss of appetite, changes in weight.
• Serves as a mandated reporter and reports any concerns regarding potential mistreatment.
• Offers pertinent observations and input.
• Responds appropriately to resident and building emergencies.

Required Qualifications

• Less than 1 year required experience.
• Ability to use technology in the form of computers, handheld devices, cell phones, and fax machines.
• If under 18 must be on MN NAR registry.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-3 years' experience.
