Job summary

The Aspenwood Company is hiring Resident Assistants to provide compassionate, hands-on care in a Spring Creek Village Assisted Living community with Memory Care. You will support residents with daily activities, meals, and social engagement in a warm, homelike setting.

We value teamwork, reliability, and respectful communication. Positions include regular shifts, PRN options, and weekend/holiday availability, with benefits and ongoing training opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 6 months to 1 year of resident care experience preferred, especially with seniors.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong problem-solving, good judgment and attention to detail.
• Understanding of HIPAA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring, dining) while encouraging independence.
• Serve meals in dining rooms or residents' apartments; assist in meal preparation and promote proper nutrition and hydration.
• Initiate and participate in leisure activities; encourage residents to socialize and build friendships.
• Maintain accurate, timely records of leisure activities, incidents, observations, and changes in residents' conditions.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and orderly environment; perform general housekeeping duties.
• Follow procedures in emergencies; respond quickly to resident requests and emergencies (pendants, calls).
• Know each resident's location, remind to sign out when leaving, report if a resident cannot be located.
• Foster teamwork through positive interactions with coworkers; attend required in-service trainings.
• Be an active member of the community's emergency response team; maintain professional appearance and hygiene.

Spring Creek Village, an Assisted Living senior community with Memory Care

Shifts Available :

• 6:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
• 2:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.
• 10:00 p.m. - 6:00 a.m.

PRN Shifts Available

Must be available to work weekends and holidays

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Know each resident's location, remind them to sign out when leaving, and promptly report if a resident cannot be located.
• Foster a cooperative team environment through positive interactions with co-workers.
• Attend all required in-service training sessions.
• Be an active member of the community's emergency response team.
• Maintain a professional appearance and good personal hygiene in accordance with company policies.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 6 months to 1 year of prior resident care experience, preferably with seniors.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills, good judgment, and attention to detail.
• Understanding of HIPAA requirements.
