Job summary

Ebenezer's Sanctuary of St. Cloud is a warm, community-focused senior living campus seeking a dedicated Resident Assistant to provide personal care and health-related services, enhancing residents' wellbeing in a supportive environment.

The role is 64 hours per two weeks, on the day shift, with every other weekend and holiday rotation. It includes assisting with daily activities, meals, and medications under RN direction, and observing residents for changes in condition.

Qualifications

• Less than 1 year of experience in a caregiving or residential setting.
• Ability to use technology (computers, handheld devices, cell phones) in daily tasks.
• If under 18, must be on MN NA registry and cannot pass medications or operate a mechanical lift independently.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal cares (bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting).
• Support with daily activities and mobility (transfers, use of lifts).
• Administer medications or assist under RN supervision; monitor vitals as directed.

The Sanctuary of St. Cloud

is an affordable, friendly senior living community. We are located near Highway 10 and County 23 in St. Cloud, MN. Our beautiful community hosts 101 Assisted Living and 36 Memory Care apartments. Our residents enjoy worry-free living in a warm and friendly community with services to meet their individual needs.

This position is responsible for providing personal care and designated health-related services to enhance and/or maintain the residents' physical and emotional wellbeing.

• 64 hours per two weeks

Responsibilities

• Assists residents with personal cares including but not limited to:
• Bathing/showering
• Foot and fingernail care
• Shaving
• Dressing
• Assistance with use of hearing aids and/or glasses
• Hair care
• Feeding
• Toileting
• Escorts
• 1-2 person transfers and use of mechanical lift
• Provides health-related services as directed: Assists with treatments per individualized care plan under the direction of the Registered Nurse. (includes blood glucose monitoring)
• Administers medication or assists with this under the direction of the Registered Nurse (includes insulin injections). Takes and records temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration under the direction of the Registered Nurse
• Performs specified home services:
• Performs laundry service per schedule.
• Follows cleaning schedule for the shift worked.
• Delivers meal trays.
• Assists with meal service in dining room.
• Assists with preparing for and/or facilitating resident social and recreational activities as assigned and as requested.
• Observes tenants/residents and reports status to appropriate staff.
• Notifies appropriate staff of changes in physical and/or emotional conditions such as change in attitude or mood, loss of appetite, change in weight.
• Serves as a mandated reporter and reports any concerns regarding potential mistreatment
• Offers pertinent observations and input.
• Responds appropriately to resident and building emergencies.

• If under 18 must be on the MN NA registry and site must be able to manage restrictions that they are not able to pass medications or operate a mechanical lift independently.
