Oak Meadows, located in Oakdale, MN, is part of Ebenezer, Minnesota's largest senior living organization with a century of service. This casual role involves providing personal care and health-related services to residents on our senior living campus.

The position supports daily living activities, medication assistance under RN supervision, and observation of residents to report changes. It emphasizes compassionate care within a dedicated team environment at Oak Meadows.

Qualifications

• Experience in personal care or caregiving roles is a plus.
• Ability to use computers, handheld devices, cell phones, and fax machines as part of daily tasks.
• If under 18, MN NA registry rules apply and site restrictions on medication handling and lift operation.

Responsabilités

• Assist residents with personal cares including bathing, dressing, and hygiene.
• Help with feeding, toileting, and mobility assistance and transfers.
• Administer or assist with medications under RN direction and monitor vital signs.
• Observe residents and communicate changes to staff; document interactions as required.
• Support with meal service, dining, and social/rec recreational activities.
• Follow cleaning, laundry, and general housekeeping schedules for shifts.

This is a casual role!

This position is responsible for providing personal care and designated health-related services to enhance and/or maintain the residents' physical and emotional wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Assists residents with personal cares including but not limited to:
• Bathing/showering
• Foot and fingernail care
• Shaving
• Dressing
• Assistance with use of hearing aids and/or glasses
• Hair care
• Feeding
• Toileting
• Escorts
• 1-2 person transfers and use of mechanical lift
• Provides health-related services as directed: Assists with treatments per individualized care plan under the direction of the Registered Nurse. (includes blood glucose monitoring)
• Administers medication or assists with this under the direction of the Registered Nurse (includes insulin injections). Takes and records temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration under the direction of the Registered Nurse
• Performs specified home services:
• Performs laundry service per schedule.
• Follows cleaning schedule for the shift worked.
• Delivers meal trays.
• Assists with meal service in dining room.
• Assists with preparing for and/or facilitating resident social and recreational activities as assigned and as requested.
• Observes tenants/residents and reports status to appropriate staff.
• Notifies appropriate staff of changes in physical and/or emotional conditions such as change in attitude or mood, loss of appetite, change in weight.
• Serves as a mandated reporter and reports any concerns regarding potential mistreatment
• Offers pertinent observations and input.
• Responds appropriately to resident and building emergencies.

Required Qualifications

• Ability to use technology in the form of computers, handheld devices, cell phones, and fax machines
• If under 18 must be on the MN NA registry and site must be able to manage restrictions that they are not able to pass medications or operate a mechanical lift independently.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-3 years experience
