The Sanctuary of St. Cloud, part of Ebenezer, is an affordable, friendly senior living community in St. Cloud, MN. We offer 101 Assisted Living and 36 Memory Care apartments in a warm, person-centered environment that supports residents’ physical and emotional wellbeing.

This casual Resident Assistant/Caregiver role covers shifts including weekends and weekdays, with in-depth training for personal care and medication assistance under the RN supervision.

Qualifications

• Less than 1 year of caregiving experience.
• Ability to use technology incl. computers, handheld devices, cell phones and fax machines.
• If under 18 must be on the MN NA registry.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care tasks (bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting).
• Assist with medications under the direction of the Registered Nurse (including insulin injections).
• Monitor vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration) and report changes.
• Support meal service, dining room assistance, and light housekeeping per schedule.
• Assist with activities and support resident social/recreational events.
• Respond to emergencies and document observations for staff.

Our beautiful community hosts 101 Assisted Living and 36 Memory Care apartments. Our residents enjoy worry-free living in a warm and friendly community with services to meet their individual needs.

This is a casual role! Help fill in for shifts ahead of time and for last minute needs. Variety of shifts available including weekends, week days etc. This Resident Assistant/Caregiver position is responsible for providing personal care and designated health-related services to enhance and/or maintain the residents' physical and emotional wellbeing. Role will be provided in depth training to pass medications as this is part of their regular duties.

Responsibilities

• Assists residents with personal cares including but not limited to:
• Bathing/showering
• Foot and fingernail care
• Shaving
• Dressing
• Assistance with use of hearing aids and/or glasses
• Hair care
• Feeding
• Toileting
• Escorts
• 1-2 person transfers and use of mechanical lift
• Provides health-related services as directed: Assists with treatments per individualized care plan under the direction of the Registered Nurse. (includes blood glucose monitoring)
• Administers medication or assists with this under the direction of the Registered Nurse (includes insulin injections). Takes and records temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration under the direction of the Registered Nurse
• Performs specified home services:
• Performs laundry service per schedule.
• Follows cleaning schedule for the shift worked.
• Delivers meal trays.
• Assists with meal service in dining room.
• Assists with preparing for and/or facilitating resident social and recreational activities as assigned and as requested.
• Observes tenants/residents and reports status to appropriate staff.
• Notifies appropriate staff of changes in physical and/or emotional conditions such as change in attitude or mood, loss of appetite, change in weight.
• Serves as a mandated reporter and reports any concerns regarding potential mistreatment
• Offers pertinent observations and input.
• Responds appropriately to resident and building emergencies.
