Job summary

Ebenezer Minnetonka is seeking a dedicated caregiver to support residents in a 100‑unit senior living community offering Independent and Assisted Living, Memory Care and Care Suites. The role emphasizes safety and health needs, personal care, meal service, and assistance with social activities.

Excellent teamwork and following individualized care plans under RN supervision are essential. This role includes evenings and a rotating schedule with some weekends/holidays.

Qualifications

• Less than 1 year of relevant caregiving experience.
• Ability to use technology (computers, handheld devices, cell phones, and fax machines).
• 1-3 years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists residents with personal cares including bathing, foot and fingernail care, shaving, dressing and hearing aid/glasses support.
• Provides health-related services under RN direction (blood glucose monitoring; meds administration under RN supervision).
• Performs home services like laundry, meal delivery, and dining room support; assists with activities and emergencies.

Our beautiful location is just minutes from The Ridgedale Mall, St Louis Park, and near Highways 394 and 494 while close to public transportation. Managed by Ebenezer, we boast an exceptional team of caregivers who believe in our mission to heal, discover, and educate for longer healthier, meaningful lives. Oversees Resident Centered Care.

This position is responsible for ensuring that the safety and health needs of the residents are met.

This Schedule Includes

• 45 hours per two weeks
• evening shifts: 2PM - 9PM
• every other weekend and holiday rotation

Responsibilities

• Assists residents with personal cares including but not limited to:
• Bathing/showering
• Foot and fingernail care
• Shaving
• Dressing
• Assistance with use of hearing aids and/or glasses
• Hair care
• Feeding
• Toileting
• Escorts
• 1-2 person transfers and use of mechanical lift
• Provides health-related services as directed: Assists with treatments per individualized care plan under the direction of the Registered Nurse. (includes blood glucose monitoring)
• Administers medication or assists with this under the direction of the Registered Nurse (includes insulin injections). Takes and records temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration under the direction of the Registered Nurse
• Performs specified home services:
• Performs laundry service per schedule.
• Follows cleaning schedule for the shift worked.
• Delivers meal trays.
• Assists with meal service in dining room.
• Assists with preparing for and/or facilitating resident social and recreational activities as assigned and as requested.
• Observes tenants/residents and reports status to appropriate staff.
• Notifies appropriate staff of changes in physical and/or emotional conditions such as change in attitude or mood, loss of appetite, change in weight.
• Serves as a mandated reporter and reports any concerns regarding potential mistreatment
• Offers pertinent observations and input.
• Responds appropriately to resident and building emergencies.

• If under 18 must be on the MN NA registry and site must be able to manage restrictions that they are not able to pass medications or operate a mechanical lift independently.
