Job summary

Jones-Harrison Senior Living in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a Resident Assistant/Home Health Aide to provide personal care, assist with medications under nurse supervision, and support residents’ well-being in the Assisted Living unit. The role offers a day shift (6am-2pm) with 44 hours every two weeks, no CNA required for those 18+, and a benefits package including retirement and early wage access.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal cares such as bathing, dressing, and mobility.

• Assist with onboarding of new staff and communicate resident needs to the care team.

Ebenezer is looking for a Resident Assistant/Home Health Aide whom would be responsible for providing personal cares, passing medications, and designated health related services to improve and/or maintain the senior age residents’ physical and emotional well-being! Position is located in Minneapolis, MN at our beautiful care center- in the Assisted Living unit of Jones-Harrison. NO CNA required, unless under 18 years old. Great schedule for a nursing or healthcare or premed student!

This caregiver schedule includes:

• 44 hours every two week
• Day shift. 6am-2pm
• Every other weekend Sat/Sunday rotation

Responsibilities:

• Assists residents with personal cares including but not limited to: bathing, shaving, dressing, hair care, feeding, toileting, and transfers/lifts.
• Under direction of Nurse, provides health related services as needed such as; passing medication, glucose monitoring, temperatures, blood pressure, and pulse.
• May perform duties that include: laundry, cleaning, meal service, and assisting with activities.
• Observes residents and reports status to appropriate staff
• Assists with onboarding of new staff

Required:

• CNA certificated only required if under 18 years old

Preferred:

• Ability to communicate optimally, with compassion and kindness for residents and coworkers
• Ability to work in a team setting and support others
• Curiosity to work with a diverse and older population
• High School diploma or GED or completion of a formal NA or HHA course
• Previous work experience as HHA, CNA, NA, DSP, PCA
