Job summary

Ebenezer Champlin is seeking a part‑time Weekend Caregiver/Home Health Aide to support seniors in Champlin, MN. The role covers 16 hours every two weeks with night shifts and eligible differential pay, including every other weekend and rotating holidays. Training on medication passing is provided on hire.

The position involves assisting residents with personal care, transporting with lifts, and supporting mealtime and activities, under RN supervision where required.

Qualifications

• Less than 1 year of care-related experience.
• Ability to use computers, handheld devices, cell phones, and fax machines.
• If under 18, must be on the MN NA registry and site restrictions apply to pass medications or operate a lift.

Responsibilities

• Assists residents with personal cares such as bathing, shaving, dressing, feeding and toileting.
• 1-2 person transfers and use of mechanical lift as directed.
• Provides health-related services under RN supervision (blood glucose monitoring, treatments).
• Administers medications or assists under RN direction (insulin injections).
• Performs home services: laundry, cleaning, meal trays delivery, and meal assistance.
• Assists with preparing for and facilitating resident social and recreational activities.
• Observes residents and reports changes to staff; acts as mandated reporter when needed.

Assists residents with personal cares including but not limited to: bathing, shaving, dressing, hair care, feeding, toileting, and transfers/lifts. Managed by Ebenezer, Minnesota's largest senior living operator.

We are looking for a Resident Assistant whom would provide personal cares to improve and/or maintain the senior assisted living/memory care residents’ physical and emotional well-being for our busy senior living in Champlin, MN. Ebenezer provides medication passing training upon hire for this role.

This part-time weekend caregiver/home health aide schedule includes;

• 16 hours per two weeks
• night shift, overnights. Eligible for night shift differential pay
• every other weekend (saturday/sunday) rotation and rotating holiday

Responsibilities

• Assists residents with personal cares including but not limited to:
• Bathing/showering
• Foot and fingernail care
• Shaving
• Dressing
• Assistance with use of hearing aids and/or glasses
• Hair care
• Feeding
• Toileting
• Escorts
• 1-2 person transfers and use of mechanical lift
• Provides health-related services as directed: Assists with treatments per individualized care plan under the direction of the Registered Nurse. (includes blood glucose monitoring)
• Administers medication or assists with this under the direction of the Registered Nurse (includes insulin injections). Takes and records temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration under the direction of the Registered Nurse
• Performs specified home services:
• Performs laundry service per schedule.
• Follows cleaning schedule for the shift worked.
• Delivers meal trays.
• Assists with meal service in dining room.
• Assists with preparing for and/or facilitating resident social and recreational activities as assigned and as requested.
• Observes tenants/residents and reports status to appropriate staff.
• Notifies appropriate staff of changes in physical and/or emotional conditions such as change in attitude or mood, loss of appetite, change in weight.
• Serves as a mandated reporter and reports any concerns regarding potential mistreatment
• Offers pertinent observations and input.
• Responds appropriately to resident and building emergencies.

• If under 18 must be on the MN NA registry and site must be able to manage restrictions that they are not able to pass medications or operate a mechanical lift independently.
