Job summary

Traditions at Camargo is seeking a dedicated Resident Assistant to provide direct, compassionate care to residents following individualized care plans. The role involves helping with daily living activities, promoting independence, and maintaining a safe, homelike environment on site in Fishers, IN.

The position requires completing a state-approved CNA program with current certification and good communication skills to collaborate with residents, families, and staff.

Qualifications

• CNA certification or equivalent state-approved CNA program completed.
• Experience in senior care or healthcare is preferred.
• Compassion, patience and a resident-centered approach are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care according to individualized plan of care.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting and mobility.
• Encourage independence and social interaction among residents.
• Monitor residents' physical and emotional well-being and report changes to supervisors.
• Maintain a safe, clean, homelike environment.
• Assist with meals setup and social engagement during meals.
• Follow safety, infection control and privacy procedures.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members.

Pay or shift range: $18 USD to $20.25 USD

The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.

Resident Assistant Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care to residents according to their individualized plan of care.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting, and mobility.
• Encourage resident independence and social interaction.
• Monitor residents’ physical and emotional well-being and report changes to supervisors.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and homelike environment.
• Support residents during meals, including set-up, assistance, and social engagement.
• Follow all safety, infection control, and privacy procedures.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members.

Resident Assistant Qualifications and Skills:

• Completion of a state-approved Nursing Assistant or CNA program and current certification in states where required.
• Previous experience in senior care or healthcare preferred.
• Compassion, patience, and a resident-centered approach.
• Strong communication, observation, and time-management skills.
• Ability to perform physical tasks safely and provide support as needed.
