Join Our Team as a Resident Assistant at Cedarhurst Senior Living

Cedarhurst of Canton, a regional healthcare provider and a true friend of older adults, is seeking a service-minded, career-oriented individual to join our team as a Resident Assistant.

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting residents with personal care needs such as grooming, hygiene, dressing, and nutrition.
• Responding promptly to signal lights, bells, or intercoms to assess residents' needs.
• Monitoring vital signs and food and fluid intake as directed.
• Transporting residents and assisting with mobility, turning, or repositioning.
• Handling chores like changing linens, running errands, and managing laundry and housekeeping.
• Helping residents during meals and encouraging participation in activities.
• Listening to residents' concerns and reporting observations to the care team.
• Promoting residents' physical, emotional, and personal wellbeing, aiming to maximize their independence.
• Understanding and respecting residents' Advance Directives.
• Communicating effectively with residents' families regarding their care.
• Working collaboratively with team members, following management guidance, and resolving conflicts as needed.

Physical demands include: standing, moving, communicating, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and lifting up to 50 pounds independently or up to 200 pounds with assistance.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of experience as a resident assistant preferred.
• Proficiency in Internet browsers, Microsoft Office, electronic health records, and HR systems is desirable.
