Day Shift - 1 Full Time
Evening Shift: 1 Fulltime and 1 Part Time
NOC Shift: 1 Full Time and 1 Part Time

Resident Assistant General Summary:
The Resident Assistant is responsible for assisting Residents in their daily living routines. Duties are performed under the indirect supervision of the Nurse or Supervisor, with established procedures and guidelines.
Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities of a Resident Assistant
Responsible for assisting with “Assisted Daily Living” duties that ensure Residents are clean and comfortable, including transferring, mobility, bathing, changing briefs, peri-care, toileting, oral hygiene, grooming, dressing, changing bed linens, etc.
Physically support Residents in getting to appointments such as salons, transportation, activities, and meals, including pushing wheelchairs, following closely behind walkers, and keeping track of and responding to schedules. Record communications for co-workers, shift summaries, and care notes.
Physical Demands of the Resident Assistant:
Ability to regularly walk, stand, bend, reach, stoop, or sit for extended periods.
Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects or people weighing more than 50 lbs.
Maintain concentrated attention to safety, detail, and accuracy over sustained periods.
Requirements:
Must receive the annual flu vaccine, excluding religious or medical exemptions.

Reliable and dependable with attendance and punctuality.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to make independent decisions without supervision.
Ability to interact tactfully with residents, family members, team members, and the public.
Ability to make decisions in stressful situations.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Possess good character and display a high degree of personal integrity. Show sincere compassion towards cognitively impaired older adults.
Demonstrate genuine concern for the physical and emotional needs of older people and their families.
