Job summary

Fairview Health Services in Burnsville, MN is seeking a Resident Assistant to provide personal cares and support to residents in our memory care and assisted living setting.

On-the-job training to pass medications; schedule includes a biweekly 16-hour shift, evening shift differential pay, and every-other weekend; comprehensive benefits available.

Qualifications

• CNA certification if under 18
• High school diploma or GED, or completion of a formal NA or HHA course
• Ability to communicate effectively with compassion and kindness

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal cares, including bathing, shaving, dressing, hair care, feeding, toileting, and transfers/lifts.
• Under direction of Nurse, pass medications and monitor glucose, temperatures, blood pressure, and pulse as needed.
• May perform laundry, cleaning, meal service, and activities support.
• Observe residents and report status to appropriate staff.
• Assist with onboarding of new staff

Job Overview

Arbor Lane Memory Care and Specialty Care Assisted Living emphasizes the total wellbeing of our residents in a warm, newly updated and comfortable home for seniors right on the Ebenezer Ridges Campus in Burnsville. Our comfortable community is designed to accommodate those who become disoriented, or may wander. We include a long tenured staff who believes in our mission to help seniors to heal, discover, and educate for longer healthier, more meaningful lives.

We are looking for aResident Assistantwhom would provide personal cares to improve and/or maintain the senior residents’ physical and emotional well-being for our vibrant and busy assisted living in Burnsville, MN. As well, will be given on the job training to be able to pass medications. No CNA/NAR required, unless under 18 years old.

This caregiver schedule includes;

• 16 hour every two weeks
• Evening shift. Earn evening shift differential pay
• Every other weekend (Sat/Sunday)

Responsibilities:

• Assists residents with personal cares including but not limited to: bathing, shaving, dressing, hair care, feeding, toileting, and transfers/lifts.

Required:
