Job summary

Bridgeway Park Lansing Senior Living Facility is seeking a dedicated Resident Aide to provide compassionate care to our residents. You will assist with daily living activities, support mobility, monitor residents’ conditions, and document care accurately.

The role requires 18+, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to lift 50 pounds. We offer orientation, paid time off from day one, room for growth, and comprehensive benefits in a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Able to pass a criminal background check.
• Experience working with the elderly.
• Able to lift 50 pounds.
• Every other weekend is required.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license or ID.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Providing assistance to residents with daily living activities (transfers, bathing, dressing, toileting, walking).
• Ensuring the cleanliness of the environment (light housekeeping).
• Comply with safety and health standards, including infection control procedures.
• Monitor changes in residents’ conditions and promptly communicate to the supervisor.
• Follow schedule, assist with repositioning.
• Adhere to procedures regarding documenting medications accurately.
• Use good judgment in client care and safety.
• Assist other team members as necessary.
• Respond to call lights and assess residents’ needs promptly.
• Obtain meal trays and assist with eating.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
