Job summary

Bridgeway Park Blissfield Senior Living Facility is hiring a Resident Aide to provide compassionate care to residents. The role includes assisting with daily activities, medication documentation, and ensuring safety and comfort in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Able to pass a criminal background check.
• Experience working with the elderly is preferred.
• Able to lift 50 pounds.
• Every other weekend is required.
• Reliable transportation.
• Valid Driver’s license or ID.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to arrive on time for every shift.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities (transfers, bathing, dressing, toileting, walking).
• Maintain cleanliness and perform light housekeeping.
• Follow safety and infection control procedures.
• Monitor residents’ conditions and report changes to supervisor.
• Support meal service and assist with eating as needed.
• Document medications accurately and promptly.
• Respond to call lights and assess residents’ needs.
• Assist other team members and adapt to shift needs.
• Attend to residents’ needs and ensure safety.

Responsibilities

• Providing assistance to residents with daily living activities such as transferring in and out of bed, bathing, dressing, toileting, and walking
• Ensuring the cleanliness of the environment which may involve light housekeeping duties
• Comply with all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures
• Monitoring for changes in residents’ conditions and promptly communicate any changes to the supervisor
• Following schedule, assisting residents with repositioning
• Adhering to procedures regarding documenting of medications accurately
• Utilize good judgment in providing client care and ensuring their safety
• Assisting other team members with their duties as necessary
• Responding to call lights and assess residents’ needs promptly
• Obtain meal trays and assist with eating
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor
