Job summary

Bridgeway Park Lansing Senior Living Facility is seeking a Resident Aide to provide compassionate daily living support to residents. You will assist with transfer, bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility, and help with meals while maintaining safety and dignity. Experience administering medications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Providing assistance to residents with daily living activities such as transferring in and out of bed, bathing, dressing, toileting, and walking
• Ensuring the cleanliness of the environment which may involve light housekeeping duties
• Comply with all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures
• Monitoring for changes in residents’ conditions and promptly communicate any changes to the supervisor
• Following schedule, assisting residents with repositioning
• Adhering to procedures regarding documenting of medications accurately
• Utilize good judgment in providing client care and ensuring their safety
• Assisting other team members with their duties as necessary
• Responding to call lights and assess residents’ needs promptly
• Obtain meal trays and assist with eating
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements

• Every other weekend is required.
• Reliable transportation.
• Valid Driver’s license or ID.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to arrive on time for every shift.
