Job summary

National Health- White Oak Group in Lancaster, SC seeks an Admissions Coordinator to recruit, screen and admit applicants to the Nursing Facility and Rehabilitation Center. You will educate families about the admission process and facilitate a warm, informative first contact across the admissions office.

This full-time day position reports to the Director of Transitional Services and requires collaboration with social services, nursing staff and community partners.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Resident Care Policies and commitment to resident services.
• Courteous, tactful communication with residents and families.
• Ability to work with various agencies and community partners.
• Familiarity with admission processes and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Possess thorough knowledge of Resident Care Policies and resident needs.
• Be courteous and tactful, remain calm in emergencies, handle complaints.
• Cooperate with staff and outside agencies to create a positive first impression.
• Establish relationships with local social services and hospitals.
• Explain admission forms and assure signed statements are obtained when necessary.
• Provide emotional support to residents and families during admissions.
• Assist with tours and preliminary admissions paperwork.
• Coordinate with nursing and social services to determine facility capabilities.
• Provide marketing and public relations for the facility.
