Job summary

Apploi is seeking an Admissions Coordinator to efficiently admit residents, collect required information, and coordinate with clinical and administrative teams in Ohio. You will manage pre-admission and admission documentation, assist in orientation, and handle data entry for MDS usage.

The role requires strong English communication, tactful interaction with residents and families, and the ability to market the facility to referral sources while ensuring billing procedures are clearly explained.

Responsibilities

• Assess admissions for level of care needed and cost.
• Admit and prepare identification records per policy.
• Interview residents and responsible parties to collect required information and signatures.
• Explain billing procedures during orientation and ensure documents are signed.
• File pre-admission and admission documents correctly.
• Enter admission data into the MDS computer system.
• Prepare resident rooms and notify departments of ETA.
• Transfer and discharge residents per policy and update records.
• Maintain a log of admissions, discharges and available beds.
• Develop marketing relationships with outside referral sources and hospital discharge planners.
• Visit hospitalized residents and maintain contact with the responsible party.
