Job summary

Bayley Life in Cincinnati is seeking a Recreation/Activity Director to plan and implement social and educational events for residents, supervising programs, staff, and volunteers. You will provide personalized attention addressing emotional, spiritual, and social needs in line with department standards.

As part of a care planning team, you will ensure timely documentation and regulatory compliance while coordinating annual program calendars and supporting inspections.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• NCCAP and/or Recreation Therapist Certification.
• Valid Ohio Driver's License.
• Completed, or enrolled in State/NCCAP approved Activity Professional's Course.
• Knowledge of state/federal assessment/care planning documentation.
• 1 year experience in activities or related field.
• 2 years in long-term care/adult day care or related facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality work environment through team principles and positive attitudes.
• Input into operation, budgeting, and fiscal compliance of the activity department.
• Assist Social Worker in policy and procedure development and communication.
• Be part of the care planning team with accurate documentation per regulations.
• Plan calendars for the four programs.
• Support and participate in funding source inspections.
• Maintain good relationships with other departments.
• Assist with coordination and supervision of volunteers and work-study students.
• Participate in Performance Improvement Program and identify problems.
• Facilitate monthly activity meetings and attend staff meetings as appropriate.
