Job summary

Goldwater Care Peoria Heights is seeking an Activities Assistant to help plan, implement, and evaluate resident activities in a long-term care setting. Paid training is provided and you will work under the supervision of the Activities Department to ensure quality care and engagement for residents.

Responsibilities include preparing activity spaces, coordinating with other departments, following care plans, and maintaining resident confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Experience in Long Term Care Activities Department is preferred.
• Must be 18 or older.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing and evaluating activity programs and quality assurance in the Activities Department.
• Develop and maintain a good working rapport with other departments to assure daily activities can be performed without interruption.
• Assist in preparing activity rooms for scheduled activity programs.
• Follow the care plan in providing daily activities for resident.
• Purchase department supplies, clothing and personal items for residents.
• Maintain the confidentiality of all resident care information.
• Oversee residents engaged in scheduled activities.
