Job summary

Goldwater Care Princeton in Princeton, Illinois is seeking an Activity Assistant/Aide to help plan, implement and evaluate recreational, social, intellectual, emotional and spiritual programs that align with each resident's care plan.

You will observe resident participation, document progress, coordinate with other departments, prepare activity spaces and supplies, assist residents with crafts, letters and errands, and uphold confidentiality and dignity at all times.

Qualifications

• Experience in Long Term Care Activities Department preferred.
• Patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing & evaluating activity programs.
• Observe resident attendance, mood, behavior, and involvement; document progress.
• Prepare activity rooms and equipment; recommend supplies.
• Follow care plans to provide daily activities for residents.
• Oversee residents during activities to promote well‑being.
