Job summary

Allure of Peru, a skilled nursing and healthcare center, seeks an Activity Aide to plan and run recreational and spiritual programs that enhance residents' physical, social, and mental well-being.

You will collaborate with other departments, create a welcoming atmosphere, and ensure activities are prepared and respectful, with shifts including weekdays and every other weekend to support resident engagement.

Qualifications

• Experience in Long Term Care Activities Department preferred.
• Patience, tact, cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Basic math skills and ability to use a calculator.
• Week days varies between 8am-4pm and 930am - 530pm.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating activity programs and quality assurance programs for the Activities Department
• Observe resident attendance, mood, behavior, and degree of involvement to evaluate facility activities and resident progress
• Develop and maintain a good working rapport with other departments to ensure seamless daily activities
• Create a warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout the facility, promoting a positive and calm environment
• Assist in preparing activity rooms/areas for scheduled programs, recommending equipment and supply needs as needed
• Maintain confidentiality of resident care information, following facility guidelines and treating residents with dignity and respect
