Job summary

Allure of Peru is seeking an Activity Aide to plan, implement, and evaluate recreational and social programs, promoting physical, social, and mental well-being for residents. You will help prepare spaces, coordinate with other departments, and maintain resident confidentiality as part of a compassionate team.

The role emphasizes teamwork, strong English communication, basic math, and flexibility for varied weekday shifts along with every-other-weekend duties.

Qualifications

• Experience in Long Term Care Activities Department preferred.
• Patience, tact, cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Basic math skills and ability to use a calculator.
• Week days varies between 8am-4pm and 930am - 530pm.
• Every other weekend 8am-4pm.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating activity programs and quality assurance programs for the Activities Department.
• Observe resident attendance, mood, behavior, and degree of involvement to evaluate facility activities and resident progress.
• Develop and maintain a good working rapport with other departments to ensure seamless daily activities.
• Create a warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout the facility, promoting a positive and calm environment.
• Assist in preparing activity rooms/areas for scheduled programs, recommending equipment and supply needs as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident care information, following facility guidelines and treating residents with dignity and respect.
