Job summary

ALIYA Healthcare Consulting is seeking an Activity Assistant/Aide to join a long-term care facility in Illinois. You will help plan, implement and evaluate resident activity programs aligned with care plans and supervisor directions.

Responsibilities include coordinating activities, maintaining a supportive environment, and assisting residents with crafts, outings, and daily routines while ensuring confidentiality and safety.

Qualifications

• Experience in Long Term Care Activities Department is preferred.
• Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition & enthusiasm.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing & evaluating the activity programs & quality assurance.
• Observe resident attendance, mood, behavior and involvement; report and chart progress.
• Maintain warm, caring atmosphere and collaborate with other departments.
• Prepare activity rooms and procure equipment and supplies as needed.
• Support residents with crafts, projects and routine activities.
