Job summary

Park Manor Ltd, a 100% employee-owned Rehabilitation & Nursing Care Facility in Park Falls, WI, is seeking an Activity Aide to support residents with social, recreational, and dining activities. The role includes planning events, observing participation, coordinating volunteers and transportation, and assisting with meals and outdoor activities.

Openings: 1 Fulltime, 4 days/week, 7am–3pm, with every third weekend rotation.

Qualifications

• Completion of feeding assistant training is preferred.
• Experience delivering resident-focused activities is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Plans and facilitates daily, weekly, and monthly events to encourage socialization, relaxation, and recreation.
• Observe resident attendance, mood, behavior and degree of involvement in facility activities. Alert Activity Director of any changes in usual resident interests or participation.
• Handles logistics to make events possible, such as making phone calls, managing inventory, training and motivating volunteers or employees, and coordinating transportation.
• Assists residents with leisure requests - writing cards/letters, radio or television, telephone calls, emails, games, obtaining books or independent leisure activities.
• Assists with resident meal service
• Assist residents outdoors as requested, for leisure, smoking breaks, etc.
