Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and strong communication skills. Prior healthcare or activities experience is a plus, and the position offers paid time off with a part-time schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous healthcare/long-term care/activity experience is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate, patient and dependable personality.

• Comfortable engaging with elderly residents in groups and one-on-one settings.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organizing, and leading recreational and social activities for residents.
• Encourage resident participation and engagement in programs and events.
• Support group activities, games, crafts, music, and special events.
• Assist with decorating and preparing for holidays and facility events.
• Escort and support residents as needed during activities.
• Maintain activity supplies and ensure areas are organized.
• Document resident participation when required.
• Promote a positive, friendly, resident-centered environment.
