Mineral Springs in New Hampshire seeks an Activities Assistant to connect with residents and deliver recreational, social, and wellness programs tailored to interests and abilities. Work with the Activities Director to plan group activities, coordinate outings, and document participation, ensuring dignity and safety in every interaction.

Responsibilities include creating monthly calendars, escorting residents, reporting mood changes, and collaborating with other departments to meet needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• CPR certification is required or obtainable.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record is required.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Energetic, creative, and positive attitude is expected.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and facilitating group activities, individual visits, and recreational and wellness programs.
• Get to know residents and families to understand interests and encourage participation.
• Escort residents to activities and assist with outings, appointments, and events.
• Help create and maintain monthly activity calendars.
• Document resident participation and response to activities.
• Observe and communicate changes in resident mood, behavior, or engagement.
• Work collaboratively with other departments to coordinate resident needs and activities.
• Help maintain organized and accessible activity supplies.
• Promote resident dignity, rights, confidentiality, safety, and infection-control practices.
• Participate in required training, safety drills, and quality-improvement activities.
