Job summary

Parker Health and Rehabilitation in Parker City, IN is seeking an Activities Driver to transport residents to activity programs, appointments and outings. You will load and unload residents safely, accompany those with medical needs, and ensure paperwork accompanies residents for appointments.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and ability to follow safety protocols. You’ll work as part of the care team, maintain confidentiality, and report transports and incidents

Qualifications

• Must be over 21 and have driven for three years or more.
• Must possess a current, unencumbered driver’s license.
• Must have a safe driving history.
• Must complete a basic first aid course.
• Driving skills test required at hire.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and confidentiality.
• Proficiency with basic office software (Word/Excel).

Responsibilities

• Provide transportation to and from activity programs, appointments, and outings.
• Load/unload residents and secure them in the vehicle.
• Transport residents to designated locations and handle deliveries as assigned.
• Coordinate with nursing staff for residents with medical needs and ensure paperwork accompanies appointments.
• Report and document transports and incidents for safety and compliance.
