Job summary

Atria Park - Park of Lafayette is seeking a dedicated Transportation Driver to provide safe, courteous transportation for residents. You will coordinate pre-maintenance, maintenances, and repairs to ensure vehicle longevity, and help residents get to social events and appointments.

Responsibilities include assisting residents, securing wheelchairs, and submitting travel expenses daily while maintaining compliance with company vehicle policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• CDL required to operate commercial size vehicles.
• Experience driving and knowledge of vehicle preventative maintenance is essential.

Responsibilities

• Drive community vehicle to social and other destinations according to schedule.
• Assist residents into/out of vehicle safely.
• Secure wheelchairs and restraints during trips.
• Perform safe driving practices at all times.
• Service vehicle with fuel, lubricants, and report maintenance needs.
• Maintain daily/weekly trip inspections and maintenance records.
• Deliver groceries and belongings to residents' apartments.
• Assist Engage Life Department in activities as needed.
• Submit travel charges to the community business office daily.
• Maintain a clean driving record and report unsafe conditions.
