Job summary

Signature HealthCARE is seeking an Activities Aide to support residents with social, emotional, and physical activities in a skilled nursing environment in Lexington, KY. The role involves planning and delivering engaging programs, both inside and outside the facility, and coordinating activities calendars with a focus on person-centered care.

The position emphasizes collaboration with the care team, adherence to state standards, and opportunities to involve the community in facility events.

Qualifications

• Previous Activities/Healthcare Experience preferred, but not required.
• CNA Preferred, but not required.
• Skilled at working with individuals who have cognitive, physical or sensory disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in activities to meet the social, emotional, physical and other therapeutic needs of residents.
• Assist in the initiation and promotion of activities both within the facility and outside the facility.
• Provide in room activities for residents who are unable to attend daily events.
• Assist in the creation of an ongoing calendar of activities.
• Consistently meet State Standards for activity scheduling and documentation
• Solicit the involvement of the community when planning facility activities and events.
