Job summary

Signature HealthCARE is seeking an Activities Director to plan, organize, and direct a diverse calendar of activities for residents in our Lexington, KY location. You will coordinate staff, tailor programs to social, spiritual, and psychological needs, and ensure activities run smoothly.

The role requires formal training in therapeutic recreation or NCCAP certification, plus hands-on supervisory experience in a healthcare activities setting.

Qualifications

• Degree and certification as a therapeutic recreation specialist; or NCCAP Activity Director certification.
• Two years’ experience in a social or recreational program within the past five years, including one year in a resident activities program in a health care setting.
• One to two years management/supervisory experience.
• Prior completion of a state approved training course.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and verify that assistance is provided to residents for activities and events as necessary.
• Provide in room activities for residents who are unable to attend daily events.
• Create an ongoing calendar of activities that meets multiple needs and is accessible to all residents.
