Job summary

Signature HealthCARE is seeking an Activities Assistant to support resident-centered programs in our Kentucky facility. You will help plan and run activities that address social, emotional, physical, and therapeutic needs, both inside and outside the center.

Prior activities or healthcare experience is preferred, and a CNA is advantageous, though not required. You will work with residents who have cognitive or physical needs and help build a calendar of engaging events.

Qualifications

• Previous Activities/Healthcare Experience preferred, but not required.
• CNA preferred, but not required.
• Skilled at working with individuals who have cognitive, physical or sensory disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in activities to meet residents' social, emotional, physical and other therapeutic needs.
• Assist in the initiation and promotion of activities both within the facility and outside the facility.
• Provide in-room activities for residents who are unable to attend daily events.
• Assist in the creation of an ongoing calendar of activities.
• Consistently meet State Standards for activity scheduling and documentation.
• Solicit the involvement of the community when planning facility activities and events.
