PACS is seeking an Activity Assistant to support the Activity Director in delivering a creative, interactive activities program for residents. You will help plan events, coordinate transportation, and maintain activity records while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

The role emphasizes communication, patient-centered care, and collaboration with the care team to meet residents’ physical, mental, and psychosocial needs within a long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Preferable one-year experience in a long term care facility.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and conducting individual, small and large group activities.
• Support effective communication between staff, residents and families.
• Assist in developing monthly activity calendars and attendance records.
• Help arrange transportation for residents to appointments or outings.
• Assist with activity assessments and maintain orderly Activity Department.
