Dennett Rehab Center in Oakland, MD is seeking an enthusiastic Activity Assistant to design and lead engaging activities that promote socialization and well-being for our residents. This part-time role offers you a chance to make daily connections and brighten days through creative programming.

You will get to know residents' interests, collaborate with the Life Enrichment Director, and help build a warm, joyful community while following facility safety guidelines and documenting participation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year experience in Long Term Care Activities Department or similar role preferred.
• CNA1 (GNA) certification is a plus.
• A friendly, patient demeanor and a genuine desire to brighten residents' days.

Responsabilités

• Create connections: Facilitate activities for groups and one-on-one engagements under the Life Enrichment Director.
• Get to know residents: Understand likes, dislikes, and preferences to tailor activities.
• Welcome committee: Greet new residents and help them settle in.
• Report & reflect: Monitor participation and engagement; inform care planning.
• Community engagement: Guide volunteers and coordinate activity enrichment.
• Safety & respect: Follow infection control and privacy protocols at all times.
• Team player: Communicate positively with residents, families, and staff.
• Proactive care: Assist with resident requests and report concerns or equipment issues.
• Continuous improvement: Attend training and bring fresh ideas to the activity program.
