Job summary

Prairieview Lutheran Homes in Danforth, IL is seeking a Resident Assistant to support the Activity Director with engaging residents in personalized and group activities. You will help with daily living tasks, assist with dining, and ensure residents’ dignity and wellbeing through caring interaction.

Responsibilities include leading exercise groups, coordinating sign postings, and assisting with transport to activities and meals, while maintaining a safe and supportive environment for residents

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills and a service orientation.
• Ability to communicate clearly with residents, families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Interact with residents and families to support activities.
• Assist with non-care duties such as passing water and setting tables.
• Lead activities for individuals and groups and organize events.
• Transport residents to activities and meals as needed.
• Assist in dining room for orders and guest comfort.
• Prepare or bake snacks with residents and manage snack carts.
• Record and deliver mail and newspapers to residents.
• Lead exercise groups and promote resident dignity and respect.
• Post daily activity signs and assist with daily Chronicles.
• Support redirecting residents and monitor elopement risk.
• Perform assigned duties during your shift and within the facility.
