Job summary

Vista Prairie Communities in Minnesota seeks an Activities Assistant at Ridgeway Assisted Living and Memory Care. Join a compassionate team and help residents enjoy engaging activities from 8:00am to 4:00pm daily.

You will plan and run activities, support residents in using their physical and mental abilities, and encourage participation while fostering a positive, joyful atmosphere. A high school diploma or GED is preferred; experience with elderly/dementia residents is a plus; must be able to

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience working with elderly/dementia residents is preferred.
• Must be able to do physical tasks such as leading exercise.
• Demonstrated ability to read, write, and carry out directions required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and executing activities and social programs
• Support residents in using their physical and mental potential
• Encourage resident engagement and participation
• Promote a positive atmosphere and emotional well-being
• Bring joy and smiles to residents through meaningful interactions
• Perform bus driver duties when applicable
