Optalis Healthcare (Health & Rehabilitation Centers) is seeking an activities staff member to assist in planning, organizing, developing and directing the activities department. The role ensures activities meet emotional, social, physical and therapeutic needs of residents and customers.

The position involves supporting ambulatory, non-ambulatory, and bed-bound residents, recording participation, following policies, coordinating community trips, and maintaining calendars and newsletters.

Aufgaben

• assist with activities functions to ensure activities for ambulatory, non-ambulatory and bed-bound residents/customers
• record activity programs and participation of individual residents and identifying progress toward established care plan goals
• follow written activities policies and procedures
• assist with community trips/outings
• distribute monthly calendar of events and/or monthly newsletter
• prepare room prior to each activity and clean up after activity completed
• encourage participation, transport residents/customers to/from activity
