Job summary

Meadowcreekpostacute is seeking an Activities Assistant to deliver routine activities aligned with each resident's plan. You will identify residents, organize group and individual activities, and ensure safety and documentation are maintained throughout shifts.

The role requires 6 months of activity planning experience, strong English skills, and a cooperative, compassionate approach to working with residents and staff.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months experience in organizing and providing planned group activities.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Ability to make independent decisions when needed.
• Ability to work tactfully with residents, families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Identify residents before activities using wristbands or photos.
• Plan and direct recreational, physical, educational, social and spiritual activities.
• Ensure activities accommodate varying levels of functioning.
• Assist the Activities Director with off-campus passes and field trips.
• Document resident participation clearly in logs and charts.
• Maintain activity spaces in a clean, hazard-free state.
• Support hydration programs and meal tray distribution.
• Attend Resident Council meetings as requested.
