The University of Pittsburgh Physicians Department of Emergency Medicine is seeking an innovative and energetic Program Director to lead our long standing and highly acclaimed Emergency Medicine Residency program. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching, research, collaboration, and engaging in rewarding clinical work.

This role guides curriculum development, oversees a multi-site residency, recruits residents, and advances scholarship and clinical care while shaping future leaders

Qualifications

Board-certified in Emergency Medicine (required).
Minimum of three years of experience in residency program leadership.
Strong commitment to teaching, research and leadership in emergency medicine.

Responsibilities

Lead EM Residency Program ensuring quality, outcomes and compliance with ACGME and institutional standards.
Oversee curriculum development and educational environment for resident training and leadership formation.
Lead multi-site training efforts and recruit/mentor outstanding residents.
Advance teaching, scholarship, faculty development and high-quality clinical care.
Represent the program and department in collaboration with the health system and university.
