Job summary

Wayne State University is seeking an experienced Residency Program Coordinator for the Hematology Oncology Residency Program in the Department of Oncology at the Detroit campus. You will oversee all residency processes, ensure compliance with GME/ACGME guidelines, and support faculty with administrative duties.

Responsibilities include recruitment, reporting, resident evaluations, and maintaining communications with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; degree in health care administration or related field preferred.
• Three years’ experience in an academic healthcare environment is preferred.
• Experience in GME office operations, including recruitment and AAMC/LCME regulations.
• Strong knowledge of GME/ACGME policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all aspects of residency program processes, including recruitment and selection.
• Interpret certification guidelines and submit reports to maintain accreditation.
• Maintain day-to-day program reporting, evaluate residents, and participate in remediation when needed.
• Create communication plans and manage marketing materials and website content.
• Provide administrative support to faculty, schedule meetings, and handle reimbursements.
