Job summary

Lifepoint Health in Johnstown, PA, is seeking a Residency Program Coordinator to provide comprehensive administrative support to the Residency Program, Program Director, Associate Program Director, and Medical Education leadership.

You will maintain confidential records, coordinate daily office functions, manage schedules for program leadership, and assist residents, interns, and students. The role emphasizes organization, communication, and collaboration across faculty and staff.

Qualifications

  • Five years of office administration experience with a minimum of two years in a healthcare setting.
  • Two years in a medical education program preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; database management experience required.
  • High school graduate or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain confidential records.
  • Ensure a positive organizational image through cost‑effective measures, optimal lines of communication, and effective support of all programs within area of responsibility.
  • Coordinate and provide support in daily administration of office functions, supporting the Residency Program’s services and image.
  • Coordinate and maintain the Program Director/Associate Program Directors’ daily schedule(s).
  • Provide support, guidance, and leadership to all students, interns, residents, and chief residents.
  • Administer and coordinate program activities with faculty, residents, and staff (administrative meetings, GME activities, program lecture series, lecture room scheduling, Journal Club, Harrison Series, etc.).
  • Maintain accurate resident time‑off documentation and report it to the Administrative Director of Medical Education in a timely manner for proper payroll submission.
  • Prepare agendas and record minutes for Training Program meetings; prepare letters of recommendation and verification of program credit to requesting organizations for current and past house‑staff; prepare necessary informational material and reports for meetings and quarterly evaluations.
