Job summary

Dodge City Community College seeks a Residence Hall Supervisor to assist the Director of Residence Life/Judicial Affairs in managing four residential facilities and about 12 Resident Assistants. You will live in on-campus housing and handle evening/weekend duties with on-call rotation.

Responsibilities include managing housing operations, recruiting/training RAs, enforcing policies, and developing student programs to promote academic success in a student-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or higher.
• Proven ability to work with diverse populations including traditional and non-traditional students.
• Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
• Must possess computer skills and exceptional organizational skills.
• Able to positively interact with a variety of students in different role settings.
• Must possess or obtain a valid Kansas Driver’s License and be insurable.

Responsibilities

• Understand and support the College Mission and student-centered environment.
• Evening and weekend work with on-call duty (min 6 days/month).
• Live in on-campus apartment.
• Assist in residence hall management year-round, including orientation and recruitment.
• Input and maintain housing records and systems (cards, food service, Google Sheets).
• Recruit, select, train, evaluate, and oversee resident assistants.
• Promote positive student adjustment to campus living.
• Ensure an environment conducive to academic achievement.
• Assist with policy enforcement and safety of residents.
• Conduct health and safety inspections.
• Develop cultural and social programs for students monthly.
• Co-sponsor Residence Hall Association; support student activities.
• Assist with disciplinary cases and hearings.
• Support Security and Maintenance in safety efforts.
• Be on-call to oversee halls on weekends.
• Walk through halls to ensure safety and order.
