Job summary

The SC Governor's School for Agriculture at John de la Howe seeks a Residential Life staff member to oversee health and safety, discipline, and personal-social issues for students attending the program. Under supervision, you will monitor residence activities and maintain a nurturing, safe environment.

Responsibilities include administering medications, completing incident reports, communicating with supervisors, and ensuring compliance with DHEC, fire code, and attendance regulations.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to drive a state vehicle.
• Must be able to pass a national background check.

Responsibilities

• Provides immediate residential life oversight and guidance in health and safety, discipline, and personal-social problems.
• Monitors activities and whereabouts of residents and administers medications.
• Completes residential reports, plans, records, and incident reports for the residence hall.
• Collects and disseminates student data on success, absenteeism, and discipline; communicates incidents and progress to supervisors.
• Participates in training, meetings, committees, programs, and professional development.
• Reviews conditions of residential life facilities, equipment and supplies; ensures safety compliance.
