Job summary

IMSA in Illinois seeks a Coordinator of Residence Life Programming in the Office of Residence Life to lead programming and staff development for on-campus housing. This 11-month, live-on role includes evening/weekend duties and direct supervision of RCs and senior RCs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years professional experience in residential life or a school setting.
• Crisis management skills and ability to respond to emergencies.
• Strong oral and written communication abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• Experience in diversity, equity and inclusion training.
• Ability to relate to diverse individuals and groups.

Responsibilities

• Train, supervise and evaluate assigned Resident Counselors and Senior RCs.
• Supervise residence hall operations and safety checks weekly.
• Coordinate openings/closings of halls each semester and extended weekends.
• Participate in Administrator on Call rotation with crisis response duties.
• Coordinate weekly Residence Life team meetings.
• Serve as programming coordinator for Residence Life.
• Develop and implement Residence Life curriculum aligned with educational trends.
• Partner with Diversity, Equity and Inclusion offices on programming.
